The Water Cabin sleeps up to four guests, with two in the master bedroom and two in the twin bedroom.

We offer bookings from three nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), four nights (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) or full week blocks (commencing on either Friday or Monday). Check in is at 4pm and check out at 10.30am.

Life jackets

We are located on the river so would highly recommend you hire life jackets – especially if you have children. We recommend contacting Ali from Martham Ferry Boat Hire.

Pets

Unfortunately we’re unable to accommodate pets given our own family suffer with allergies. Sorry.

This isn’t just a ‘holiday let’ to us, this is our home. We have poured blood, sweat and tears in to renovating the Water Cabin, so we respectfully ask our guests to treat it as they would their own home.

We don't allow hen or stag parties. Or any other large gatherings.

Technology

We don’t offer broadband, however, you can get relatively good signal at the cabin. That said, we would actively encourage all guests to ‘switch off’ in order to best enjoy and connect with the Water Cabin.

We don’t have terrestrial TV signal. We promote slow living and as such offer a TV & DVD player, books and magazines.

Towels are provided.

Accessibility

Unfortunately, because of the remote location, narrow uneven paths and the fact the Water Cabin is a 1930s structure, we’re unable to offer full disabled access and facilities. If you have any specific questions about the accessibility of the Water Cabin, please contact us to ask – we will do our utmost to help.

We don’t have a cot, however, a standard travel cot will fit in the twin room (although it would be a bit if a squeeze and would be next to the radiator, of which you could switch off).

We do offer a high chair.

We have a microwave in the cupboard.

3 night long weekend (Fri / Sat / Sun), check out Monday am. From £360.

4 night midweek stay (Mon / Tue / Wed / Thur), check out Friday am. From £360.

7 nights or longer (commencing on either Monday or Friday). From £540.

 
 

Location.

The Water Cabin is on the bank of the River Thurne on the outskirts of the village of Repps with Bastwick in the Norfolk Broads National Park, United Kingdom. It is located 30 minutes East of Norwich and 15 minutes from the coast.

 
 
 
 

Covid-19.

To date, we have been very proud to only use eco-friendly products and, during normal circumstances, these would have been more than effective. Covid 19 has certainly been the biggest threat to life and the economy that we have all encountered, so we take all measures incredibly seriously. To provide you with peace of mind for your holiday, we have made some fundamental changes.

Our cleaning firm completed the following qualifications during lockdown:

– Coronavirus awareness and infection control

– Infection control advanced

– Health and Safety Awareness

All cleaning products comply with the European Standard, BS EN 1276. The products have been tested to kill 99% of bacteria within 5 minutes. We will also be using, biocidal floor cleaner and bleach around the toilet.

Disposable gloves, masks, aprons and shoe covers will be used by all cleaners. Disposable cloths will be used for high risk areas and a separate mop and bucket will also be used elsewhere to avoid any cross contamination. All cutlery, glassware and crockery is washed in hot soapy water. Windows will be opened as normal to provide proper ventilation during the clean. We will leave a cleaning checklist so you can be assured of our cleaning measures.

What we politely ask from you.

Please wash your hands before you enter the cabin. Please place all dirty laundry in disposable bags provided. Please also place all rubbish from bins in the outside bin upon departure. On the morning of departure please open all windows where possible. If these requests are not complied with, we will receive a charge from our cleaner so we appreciate your co-operation.

We will continue to monitor and take advice from the government and update our procedures accordingly.
