Visual story: Dirt Quake, King’s Lynn.

Following recent posts featuring lobster fishermen, traditional boat building and organic gardening, our visual storyteller, Hal Shinnie, has another treat for us.

Mid July, the Adrian Flux Arena at King’s Lynn has been taken over by Sideburn magazine’s annual Dirt Quake event. The hot, afternoon air is think with dust and the sound of motorbike engines, as riders race speedway using the most inappropriate bikes for the task. Among the machines hurtling around the track are choppers, bobbers and pizza delivery scooters ridden by French Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Don’t forget that you can see more work from Hal Shinnie here.
