Instagram has allowed us to bring the world closer, so as well as being inspired by the folk of our county, we also find inspiration from further afield at our finger tips.
In the second of our Girl Crush features we welcome Emma Kupari to tell you a little bit about herself and her family, who all live in Sweden. You can follow Emma on Instagram and her business, Tiger Nook, too.
Hi! My name is Emma, 22, and I live in Stockholm, Sweden. Three years ago I met my fiancé Victor, 25, when we started to work at the same bar. Since then our family has grown and we now have our first son Jordon, 1 and a half, as well as our new edition, Junior, who joined us 3 months ago.
When I was on maternity leave with Jordan from my full time job as a machine operator, my interest for kids clothing grew. Every time I was in a store searching for clothes for my son I complained about the poor range on the boys section, uncomfortable jeans and navy blue shirts were pretty much all I would find. So I decided to have a go at sewing leggings myself. It didn’t take long till my Instagram followers started to request if I could sew upon order to them, so after a month or so I decided to start Tiger Nook Designs.
As for my personal style, I am really influenced by the boho style; prints, colours and fringes are the first thing you’ll see when you open my wardrobe. I admire a lot of peoples styles, I find my inspiration for my own wardrobe in so many different people that it makes it hard to just pick one.
I feel most comfortable in the summer when I get the chance to wear a colourful playsuit together with a pair of boots or converse. Or maybe a kimono, together with a simple top and a pair of loose fit shorts. Gaah, it’s really so hard to choose because I pick every single garment that is hanging in my wardrobe with a lot of care. Quality over quantity is my motto.
My interest in tattoos started when I was about 15 years old. I did my first one when I was 18 and today I have about eight tattoos, but five of them are bundled together to one sleeve. Almost none of them mean something special and are really just on my body because I think they are beautiful. The only one with a meaning would be my first one, it’s a Native American girl with a lynx on her head. I’ve always been fascinated by lynxes and it’s my all time favourite animal (which my Tiger Nook outfits will feature soon, sneaky peaky haha). But my favourite tattoo is my mandala piece that is placed on my neck.
When I’m not working or spending time with my family, when I have some selfietime, I take my opportunity to meet friends, spend some time at the gym or just indulge myself with some time at my hairdresser or tattooer, hehe.
I hope that me and my family will have a bright future with our health on our side and of course I hope that everything will work out the way I want with Tiger Nook as my full time job. As long as we have each other I’m sure everything will work out just fine.
