Our Bobby has a thing for boats. Just ask Fiona – she knows that it’s only a matter of time before she’s forced to pack up a picnic and weekend bag for regular family voyages on the Norfolk Broads.
With Stanley being a particularly active two year old, he’s probably not quite ready to set sail just yet, however, it’s only a matter of time before he dons his first captains hat! With this in mind, we were particularly excited to hear our visual storyteller, Hal Shinnie, has recently paid a visit to Neil Thompson Boats in North Norfolk. Over to you Hal…
I didn’t have to venture very far for this months story – just a a couple of miles down the road to the beautiful village of Glandford, the home of Neil Thompson Boats. Here, in a big old barn, Neil and his crew of jolly boat builders craft and maintain stunning, hand made, fibreglass hulled sailing boats. Neil doesn’t actually feature in this set of pictures, but thanks to him and the fellas for taking time out from sanding, painting, singing along to the radio and more sanding to pose for some portraits.
With special thanks to Neil Thompson Boats.
